How to choose the right EVA low melting point bag for a specific application?
Choosing the right EVA feeding bag for a specific application requires comprehensive consideration of the following key factors to ensure performance matching, efficiency improvement, and compliance and safety:
一、Core physical property parameters
Melting point range
· Choose according to process temperature: when the internal mixing/open mixing temperature is lower than 95℃, choose the 70-95℃ standard type; high temperature process (>100℃) requires the >110℃ high melting point type
· Special needs: Ultra-low temperature mixing (such as plastic processing) can choose 65℃ special version
Mechanical properties
· Tensile strength: longitudinal (MD) ≥20MPa, transverse (TD) ≥19MPa, to prevent feed breakage.
· Elongation: ≥500% in TD direction to ensure toughness and avoid powder leakage.
Thickness and sealing
· Conventional thickness 0.04–0.09mm (thick bags are suitable for large-volume raw materials).
· The sealing width must be ≥1mm and even without bubbles to ensure sealing reliability
field | Selection points | Risk Aversion |
Tire/Rubber Industry | Prefer models with strong compatibility with natural rubber and styrene-butadiene rubber to avoid affecting vulcanization performance; Carbon black packaging requires high puncture resistance bag type | Verify whether the rubber property test is passed |
Chemical powder | Corrosion-resistant formula (such as anti-caking of white carbon black), anti-static treatment; Liquid oil packaging requires a multi-layer composite structure to prevent leakage | Avoid direct contact with strong oxidants |
· Customized according to the size of the equipment feeding port (commonly 280×190mm to 900×1000mm), oversized bags need to strengthen the edge tear resistance design
Key Pitfalls to Avoid
· Poor quality bag risk: Melting point drift (>±5℃) leading to unmelted residue and contamination of rubber
· Counterfeit identification : Check if the surface is smooth without wrinkles and if the edge banding is uniform (inferior products often have bubbles)
· Special scenarios: Photovoltaic packaging requires UV modification, and automotive dashboard applications require VOC emissions to be less than 50ppm11.
